Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents are the best teachers. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. 

I agree with statement "Parents are the best teacher for their kids". Because they be a role model for their kids. If the parents always angry to their kids, suddenly the kids will be a person with anger also. It also happen if the parents, educate the kids with patience, care and love. The kids will grow to a person more calm and kind.

We can see, if the parents is a good reader, that will affect to their children. For example, if the parents collected many books, so their children will follow them and collect many books also. This is happen to many family. This is because habit bring from the parents.

As we know, kids learn everything from their parents. Since they cannot walk, parents will teach them how to walk, how to speak, how to say “mommy”, how to eat, etc. From the parents also, children learn to read something. This is the first thing parents told to their children.

   

Parents also teach about the world, so if the parents give not good education that will affect to their children future. Actually mother have a bigger impact for children, rather than their father. So parents need more spend their time with their children.

People attend college or university for many different reasons (for example new experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge), Why do you think people attend college or university? 

Entrancing college is a culture. According to Koentjaraningrat (1981), culture is a whole system of ideas, actions, and the work of humans in the context of community life that self made man with learning. Here, I state that we attend college due to taken granted by society.

Most of society shape the human to do the “normal” work. The human who did not normal things called abnormal. In my opinion, there are no normal or abnormal. Abnormal called being rejected by society, including family. The example (two SHS students after having graduation), X who continue to take college looks smarter, good, nice, having a bright future. On the contrary, Y who decide to establish workshop looks bad, naughty, messed up, having a bad future. Both of their looks created by system of ideas, actions, and the work (called culture). We feel afraid too much from society perception.

If we throw back our history lives, we feel that we missed a lot of choices. Lacking the authority for our own body and mind to have own choices. It feels like we feel nothing why we supposed to take a class since elementary until university. We have no choice why we throw this routinities along our lives, even we feel f****** boring. We still keep going to continue Junior High School, Senior High School until College without resistance. The only thing we know that it is our duties as children going to school.

So, where is your place? Whether its normal or abnormal, its back depend on your choice :p

People attend college or university for many different reasons (for example new experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge), Why do you think people attend college or university? 

After receiving the topic of university elections, I tried to make a little question for 5 people through via bbm. They have different reasons. Exist for low cost reasons, one choose majors, there is no other choice because it does not pass in the university / department of interest, choice of parents, one of the famous universities.

And then, I took sample to myself, I chose Hasanuddin Univercity because it has achievements extraordinary. Hasanuddin university has scored incredible generations. In addition, Hasanuddin university is one of the vaforit university in east Indonesia. So that, I hope that with my school in Hasanuddin university, may be one of those outstanding. As people from the village, I would be very proud if I could go to school in one of the best universities in east Indonesia. Compared to attend school in the district of my origin, perhaps less developed my knowledge because it will meet people who come from the same area. I cant meet with other poeple who have different culture from me. 

Note: I am sorry my english so bad. I try to learn, learn and learn :)

Life style, I thought this is answer to question why people come to university. But, this is can't to general for all people. For example, you can see them when they are going to campus, give the question, why you choose law department or biology department, a part of people sometimes answer, "I failed in the first choice, medical department," or they answered, "rather than i can't to attend an university". So this is a fact, the people make university just a life style.

Some of people choose to continue their study to higher level of education when they graduated from senior high school. This is because Indonesian culture, parents will said their children will success when they are going to college. So parents will give more effort to fund their children to go to college. Because in university, parents believe their kid can gain more knowledge and also for career preparation. So one of the big reason people attend to college is for made their parent happy.

Another reason is people want to gain more opportunity to work in a big company. Many people believed if they gain more education and title, they will get good position in the company. That’s why when in the university, many people just focused on the credit. Because they want to get good grade and graduated fast from the university. This reason it’s very common, we can hear in every  discussion.

But, for what I think, there are differences point of view between people going to college and not. Because many experience you can get from a college that you didn’t get from a school. Like how to make a good proposal to approach a big company, how to gain more friends even in different faculty, how to convince your supervisor, etc.
